1 cup yellow cornmeal
1 cup all purpous flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp kosher salt
1/2 cup unsalted butter
1/3 cup packed brown sugar
2 tbsp honey
1/4 cup plain yogurt
1 cup buttermilk
  1. Preheat oven to 400F.
  2. Combine : corn meal, flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Melt butter in a cast iron skillet (slightly swirl to ensure even coating for baking).
  4. Make a well in the middle of your dry mixer. Add: butter, brown sugar, honey, yogurt, and butter milk.
  5. Mix lightly, just until the batter comes together.
  6. Pour into skillet used for melting butter.
  7. Bake for 20 minutes.
  8. Allow to cool for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.
