Shrimp and Grits

Amount Ingredient
3 cups chicken broth
1 cup grits
.5 tsp salt
.25 tsp pepper
2 tbsp butter
2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese
6 slices bacon
2 pounds shrimp
1 tbsp lemon juice
2 tsp worcestershire sauce
2 tbs chopped fresh parsley
6 green onions chopped
2 cloves garlic minced
  1. Bring broth to boil on medium/high heat.
  2. Stir in grits, cook 5-7 minutes or until thickened.
  3. Remove from heat; stir in salt, pepper, butter, and cheese.
  4. Cook bacon in pan until crispy, remove when crispy Do Not Drain Grease.
  5. Cook shrimp in bacon grease until pink.
  6. Add lemon juice, worcestershire sauce, parsley, onions, and garlic.
  7. Cook for 3 minutes.
  8. Crumble bacon and stir in.
  9. Spoon grits in to bowl, top with shrimp mixture.
