Flour Tortillas

Amount Ingredient
3 cups all purpose flour
2 tsp baking powder
5 tbsp salted butter (room temp)
1 cup hot water
  1. Combine dry ingredients in a bowl.
  2. Add butter.
  3. Pour hot water over butter, stir until a shaggy dough forms.
  4. Turn dough on floured counter, kneading for 2 minutes until it forms a smooth ball.
  5. Place in bowl, cover with damp towel, let rest for 10 minutes.
  6. Divide into 12-14 wedges.
  7. Press into 8 in circles.
  8. Heat skillet over medium-high. Add small amount of oil, then a tortilla. Cook until little bubbles form (30-60 s)
  9. Flip, cook an additional 30s.
  10. Throw directly into mouth.
